Feature Requests

Small nitpick, but in the Find 7th Chords Game you are missing Eb and Cb. Which means for a chord like A flat minor 7 chord, which should be A flat, C flat, E flat, G flat. In the game you have to pick A flat, B, E flat, G flat. While C flat is the same as B, this could be confusing to people. Because the ways in which the notes for given scale degrees, which create chords, does matter. Either way, small thing. Maybe someone has already brought it up. I would personally make picking B incorrect, if you were to pick it for an A minor seven chord.

I would like it added so that you could listen to the audio again by hitting space or clicking a button on the screen. I like trying to play the interval on the guitar by ear, and then answering the question (as an example). But unfortunately, it only lets me listen to it once. I can refresh the screen, but then the audio doesn’t play again. For people that want to work on their auditory skills with music, you really need to be able to listen to the interval multiple times to have it stuck in your head.

In the Harmonics “nerd” section, you mentioned that Indian Classical Music has a different system than the 12-tone scale. It could be cool for mostly Western-trained ears (and eyes) to hear and see this, and even practice it on a sitar fretboard or something. I once played sitar with a street musician who’s spent a lot of time in India and because I was so used to Western scales, I accidentally played a wrong note (or notes) and he said, “see, you’ve met an enemy on the path.” I thought that was the coolest analogy ever. Maybe that’s what the game could say when we choose the wrong note in the game or practice rounds.

Thanks for all the work in creating Gitori. I had been looking for something like it for a long time and only just came across it. Going through closed triads at the moment, and the ability to choose major/minor whilst restricting string sets is exactly what I need right now. One request please: it would be great to be able to choose diminished/augmented triads as well. Thanks again for this fantastic and fun tool.

It would be cool to have staff notation with the "Name the notes" game. That way we'd sort of have a reverse "Find the notes" with staff notation. I think this would help additionally strengthen the fretboard to staff notes connection.

Hello, Thank you for your hard work! I’ve never learnt piano so fast. This is the best resource i’ve seen! I’ve nearly finished all the piano content in a few days and would love to pay to continue. The minor pentatonic lesson doesn’t seem to allow practicing. Is it possible to fix this and to add another scale to learn? Other future ideas for the piano lessons could be: Chord progressions Circle of fifths Arpeggios Diminished/augmented chords Suspended chords Seventh chords I guess filling out other scales might be easier to implement. I would like to learn the most efficient chord shapes for the common chord progressions that show up in the songs of the musicians I like. I would bet there are no more than 50 of them. A “game” for that might be to give a specific sequence of 3 - 4 chords by name, and perhaps a starting fret, and then try to find the sequence of shapes that efficiently create the progression.

Right now, you can only toggle the frets in sets of three, but I would love to have more fine control there. Perhaps a slider to move the whole position of the hand? So that if I’m playing a song in a certain position, I can get familiar with the notes there more precisely.
